Welcome to the RXP Gold Assistant’s Guide to farming Herbalism and Mining in Hellfire Peninsula.

This is the starting area for the expansion so it is quite popular because it holds a lot of quests and few dungeons, expect some competition. The zone is big and you can tackle it in a few different ways.

The main items you are farming in this guide are: Fel Iron Ore, Felweed and Dreaming Glory

We’ve rated this farm as 4/5 which means that there will be high competition and gold per hour can fluctuate substantially.

Routes & Locations

Know your route

Get used to the route and zone, learning where the nodes are helps a lot. Don’t be afraid to stray from the path if you see the nodes but go right back when you are done gathering.

Gather or pass

Avoid going into caves as it is not worth your time when the rest of the zone is full of nodes. As for herbing, there are a lot of old world herbs that might be worth just passing on to gather more felweed or fel iron.

Competition

If you encounter competition there is very little you can do, the best course of action would be to either get to the other side of the zone or look into another farm.
