Welcome to the RXP Gold Assistant’s Guide to Mining in Hellfire Peninsula.

This is a starting zone for the expansion and is very popular for having lots of quests and a few dungeons. For that reason you are bound to eventually face some competition but this zone is big and you should be able to get some farming done.

The main items you will be farming here are Fel Iron Ores, Motes of fire and Motes of Earth

We’ve rated this farm as 4/5 contested which means the competition will be above average and gold per hour can fluctuate.

Routes & Locations

Know your route

Get used to the route and zone, learning where the nodes are helps a lot. Don’t be afraid to stray from the path if you see the nodes but go right back when you are done gathering.

Caves

Avoid going into caves unless there is people competing for nodes outside, as it is not worth your time when rest of the zone is full of fel iron.

Competition

Avoiding other people gathering can be tough considering the shape of the route. Your options are to stay persistent until they give up or cut across the map to the other half, if your competition is stubborn. When it starts to seem that you can’t find herbs for minutes at the time over and over, we recommend switching farms.
