Guide Overview

Welcome to the RXP Gold Assistant’s Guide to farming Primal Shadow in Hellfire Peninsula.

We will be killing Vacillating Voidcallers and Collapsing Voidwalkers on Void Ridge. They are lower level demons with lower level health pools but have mechanics that can slow down your farm for both melee and casters.

Routes & Locations

Be Prepared

Make sure you bring a lot of food and water, and that you’ve emptied out your bags if you plan on farming for an extended period of time.

Casters Beware

Even when over-leveling them, Vacillating Voidcallers can be tough to deal with, as they get damage reduction from the first spell school they take. For example, a Frost Mage would need to pull with a Fireball or Fire Blast, then they can kill it with frost spells for maximum efficiency.

Melee Beware

Collapsing Voidwalkers can cause a bit of downtime as they explode when nearing death, or when they die. Even when you overlevel them and have a chance to resist, with how fast you’ll kill the mobs, the damage will eventually catch up to you which can slow you down if you don’t have a way to heal.
