Time is of the essence

With the release of Vault of the Incarnates Heroic & Mythic Tiers releasing on the 13th December, players within Method have only two weeks from the release of Dragonflight until one of the longest Esports events in the gaming ecosystem.

As such, Method Players are reliant on reducing their time spent leveling to accumulate Pre-Raid Best-in-Slot Gear, work on professions, stockpile as many consumables as possible for the marathon ahead and ensure that their characters are in the best position to progress through the Eight Bosses the Vault of the Incarnates has in-store for them.

To minimize their downtime, Method players will be taking advantage of RestedXP leveling Guides as they grind their way to Level 70 through the most optimized routes and mechanics in the Dragon Isles.

Removing the Headache

RestedXP combines optimized Routes with easy-to-use and understand Tools, removing the challenge of leveling whilst ensuring that downtime is kept to a minimum.

RestedXP offers full 1-70 Guides for both Horde/Alliance, as well as specific Guides for Dragonflight Only.

Greetings everyone!

We have some news regarding updates to our Classic & Retail Guides, additional Addon features, as well as website changes.

Please remember to update your addon and re-import any guides after the changes go live.

Addon Version: v4.5.10

Dragonflight Guides

Our planned guides concerning the acquisition of Allied Races are nearing completion. However, Blizzard has recently introduced changes that simplify the process significantly.

In the update for 10.1.5, Blizzard has removed all restrictions for unlocking Allied Races, with the sole exception of a level requirement. All Allied Races can now be unlocked once you have a character that has reached level 40 on your account (previously, this was level 50). Newly created Allied Race characters will now be directed to Chromie, instead of the warboard. This renders some of our planned guides obsolete for players unless your aim is to collect achievements and collectables.

We will be repurposing part of our Allied Race unlock guide into a free achievement guide which will include a mount and a title.

Additionally, characters will now learn the appropriate mount riding skill upon reaching the requisite level, without needing to visit a mount trainer. The levels and corresponding riding skills are as follows:

  • Level 10 – Apprentice Riding
  • Level 20 – Journeyman Riding
  • Level 30 – Expert Riding
  • Level 40 – Master Riding

In light of the new changes, we will be simplifying the training of riding in all of our guides.

We are also hard at work on improving our starting zone guides, particularly for levels 1-60 and 60-70.

In addition, we plan to enhance the colour coding and overall structure of our guides for improved readability and navigation. We’re working to add new features and further optimise the speed and intuitiveness of our leveling routes.

Finally, we recently published an update to our free dragon riding glyphs guide for Zaralek Cavern that is ready to be used!

Classic Hardcore

Our work on routing our Hardcore guides is nearing its completion but as we strive for perfection, a little more work needs to be done on polishing the pathing and support the new addon features.

Get a fully planned Hardcore levelling Guide for both Horde and Alliance equipped with all the standard features you can expect from RestedXP. Sail through challenging content and decide whether to play it safe and dodge risky areas and adversaries or take chances and push your class to the limit to reduce your levelling time. You can even tweak your experience with options for solo players and duo/trio groups.

You can also look forward to more features that might even come in handy during critical moments. We mapped out all dangerous elite and non-elite enemies and bosses in the open world and will alert you if you need to be extra cautious. Additionally, you’ll receive visual and sound warnings if you start running out of breath while swimming, and if your health gets low, the addon will suggest using some items/abilities that could potentially save your life.

Upcoming Addon features

  • Expanded and improved Dangerous enemy list (warning you of potential threats that can end your hardcore run)
  • Notable items that can be purchased from vendors marked on your world map
  • Along with previous feature, we are adding world map menu to toggle display of relevant features
  • Talent Guide for our favorite lveling class/spec combination that will suggest where to put your points on level by level basis.

Gold Assistant updates

  • More gold farms with detailed loot drops and videos along with the usual estimated gold/hour value
  • Work on getting more accurate prices and sale rate

RestedXP Class Guides

To get the best result from our World of Warcraft The Burning Crusade Classic Speedleveling Guide, it takes more than just taking the fastest route. We’ll show you how to play your class most effectively with our guide.

Playstyle

Leveling a rogue efficiently you will generally be using Sinister Strike with Instant Poison on both weapons (after gaining poisons at level 20+).

To increase your speed in leveling keeping good weapons is very important. Make sure that your main hand is a slow weapon to increase the damage of your Sinister Strike. Your offhand should also be a fast weapon to increase the number of poison procs.

When you level as a rogue you will also be using Riposte whenever you parry. This is very important to increase your leveling speed. Using a weakaura to ensure u don’t miss any would be ideal.

While you level it’s important to not use stealth too much, this will usually decrease your leveling time. However, sometimes it’s still worth using cheapshot due to you not missing attacks while a target is stunned, the same goes for Kidney Shot. Garrote and Rupture can also be used against high armor mobs.

You should also know how to gouge kite while you level as a rogue, this will help to kill harder mobs or elite mobs. Crippling poison can also be used as an alternative. This doesn’t work against all elites in outlands due to them being immune to slows etc.
(Video on how to do it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sOpnwbdb6Ec)

The most important thing for damaging as a rogue is to try quickly to get into combat with a new mob. This is also important later on due to the talent Remorseless Attacks.

Rotation

Sinister Strike

Eviscerate

As a rogue it’s important you know when to use Evis. If you recently got an Evis upgrade, it is worth using it with just 3 combo points. While if you had sinister strike upgrades recently you should wait for 4-5 combo points.

Sinister Strike

Eviscerate

Riposte

At level 20 you get Riposte too, this will be a big damage increase whenever you parry.

Blade Flurry

Sinister Strike

Eviscerate

Riposte

Every 2 mins your goal will be to pull 2 mobs together, this will increase your kill time by a lot.

Blade Flurry

Evasion

Sinister Strike

Eviscerate

Riposte

Use Blade Flurry every 2.5 minutes – one with Evasion and one with Adrenaline Rush to cleave multiple mobs down.

Rested XP

The new ultra-fast leveling guide.
Release date: May 17th 2021

To get the best result from our World of Warcraft The Burning Crusade Classic Speedleveling Guide, it takes more than just taking the fastest route. We’ll show you how to play your class most effectively with our guide.

Playstyle

Leveling as a retribution paladin your playstyle embodies that of a holy melee crusader. While leveling you will combine your Auras, Seals and Judgements with Two Handed weapons to dispose of enemies.

Paladins are historically known as a class that doesn’t feel very interactive. However, when played correctly, this is not the case. They can be one of the fastest (and safest) levelers.

Rotation

1-19

Seal of Righteousness -> Auto Attack -> Judgement
  • Use Seal of Righteousness.
  • Use Devotion Aura until Retribution Aura.
  • Use the newest rank of Blessing of Might/Wisdom.

20-39

Seal of Command -> Hand of Justice+Judgement -> Auto Attack -> Judgement
  • Use Seal of Command.
  • Use Retribution Aura until Sanctity Aura.

Try to combo your Seal of Command on stunned mobs using Hand of Justice.  Remember that using Seal of Command Judgement on a stunned target rewards bonus damage.

For Elite mobs, open on it by judging Seal of the Crusader. This increases the damage taken by Seal of Command procs+Judgements on the mob.

For Undead and Demon mobs, use Exorcism on cooldown. This is also effective for pulling from a longer range than paladins typically can.

You can also start using Repentance in the same way you use Hand of Justice at 37+.

40-49

Seal of the Crusader -> Judgement -> Seal of Command -> Auto Attack -> Hand of Justice+Judgement -> Auto Attack -> Judgement

Start opening on all mobs by judging Seal of the Crusader. This increases the damage taken by Seal of Command procs+Judgements on the mob. At around 40, this is the level where it starts providing more value over an extra Seal of Command judgement.

For your 2nd judgement, auto attack until your Judgement is off cooldown, then Hand of Justice+Judgement the mob, before reverting back to the normal spellcast order of Seal of Command -> Judgement -> Auto attack.

40-52 (OPTIONAL)

From 40-52, you can solo the Zombie Graves in Zul’Farrak. This is quite difficult and requires some preperation, but can save a few hours if you know what you’re doing. You can see our guide for it here:

50-70

Seal of the Crusader -> Judgement -> Seal of Command -> Crusader Strike -> Auto Attack -> Hand of Justice+Judgement -> Auto Attack -> Judgement
  • Same as 40-49, except you can now start using Crusader Strike on cooldown.
  • At 61+, start using Blessing of Might all the time over Blessing of Wisdom.

Notes

  • Try to only heal when out of combat to not get pushed back when healing, and remove the need for the Spiritual Focus talent.
  • If you have to heal in combat, then you can avoid pushback by using Blessing of Protection/Divine Shield/Divine Protection and healing.
  • If fighting a mob with Frost Armor, then you can use Blessing of Freedom to immunise yourself against the debuff.
  • Try to melee kite mobs to other objectives (other mobs, quests). This will greatly reduce your time spent travelling in the early levels.
  • Creatively use Line of Sight mechanics to mitigate damage verses spellcasters.
  • Find an addon (such as Decursive) that tells you when to purify yourself against poisons and diseases.
  • Install a melee swingtimer addon to get a better idea of when your melee weapon will start a swing. This can be used to more efficiently heal after combat by healing straight after a swing that will kill a mob.
  • Furthermore, if you cancel a heal before your swingtimer is ready, it will not reset your melee’s swing timer.
  • Movespeed enchants will not stack with Pursuit of Justice.
  • Try to move to face all enemies that are attacking you if you’re attacking multiple mobs at once. This will allow you to mitigate damage through dodges and parries, as well as do more damage through parry haste.
  • Keep Turn Undead rank 1 on your bars, as it can be incredibly useful in some situations against undead mobs due to fearing them away for 20 seconds.
